Asking questions in English is actually pretty simple once you see the pattern. There are mainly two easy ways: 1. Using helping verbs (do, does, did, is, are, am, was, were) You just put the helping verb at the beginning of the sentence. Present simple You like tea → Do you like tea? He plays football → Does he play football? Past simple You went there → Did you go there? With “be” verbs She is happy → Is she happy? They are ready → Are they ready? 2. Wh- questions (what, where, when, why, who, how) You add the question word in front, then follow the same rule. What do you want? Where do you live? When did you come? Why are you sad?
