The past tense of “go” is “went”.
So instead of saying:
I go to school yesterday (this is wrong)
You say:
I went to school yesterday
Another example:
She goes to the market today → present
She went to the market yesterday → past
It changes completely, not just by adding “-ed”, so you just have to remember it as an irregular verb.
